



The music will be a key ingredient for Barcelona03. Music written specially for the event will be played during the highpoints of the games, for example for the prize giving and opening cermonies.
The composer, Albert Guinovart, is one of the few classical artists who has gained recognition both from music critics and from the general public.
Guinovart has also achieved international acclaim. He has won a variety of national and international piano and composing competitions and has given solo concerts, acted as guest pianist, as well as accompanying soprano, Victoria de los Ángeles, in many countries around the world. He is also the author of the musicals Mar i Cel and Flor de Nit, both produced by Dagoll Dagom, as well as of Desconcierto Grosso and Paradís.
Other works he is responsible for include the soundtracks to films such as El llarg hivern (with which he won the National Cinematography Prize from the Generalitat of Catalunya), Els nens de Rússia, La monyo and A la vida, al amor. He has also composed the music for a number of TV series including Nissaga de poder, Laberint d'ombres, Nissaga, l'herčncia, El cor de la ciutat and Mirall trencat.
